Parents have always been a big part of Granum School and in May 1995, Granum School Council was officially established.
Granum School parent volunteers work with staff and school board members in an advisory role.
School Council is encouraged to become politically involved in provincial education through Alberta Learning. The School Board asks for School Council's input on proposed policies from time to time.
Parents are heartily welcomed and encouraged to attend School Council meetings, whether they are official members or not. Our Annual General Meeting is held at the beginning of the school year. Everyone is invited to come to any of our meetings to participate in discussion and debate and have input into your child's education. We need you to enable us to a good job.

When are the meetings?
School Council meetings are held on the third Thursday of every month starting at 6:00 pm at the school. Check the calendar in the school newsletter for exact dates. Snack and coffee are provided.
